Crofts End Silver Band
We are a small, friendly brass band with a range of ages and musical abilities, including very experienced as well as new and returning players. We meet to play because we enjoy making music and socialising together. Everyone, no matter what their ability or experience, comes to have a pleasant evening with friends, helping each other if necessary both in the band and everyday life.
We are a non-competing Band, and have no plans to compete. We do take part in a wide range of musical engagements throughout the year such as local fetes, garden parties, Armistice day, and concerts as requested, where we play a varied programme of music.
We also play in churches (both services and concerts), Elderly peoples homes, community events, Temple Meads and supermarkets (carols). The band had 2 trips to America sometimes playng to 10,000 people and among our other charity donations, raised over £2000 for the Children’s Hospice South West.
The band meets on Friday evenings from 7.30 – 9pm at Hanham United Reform Church, Tabernacle Road, Hanham, Bristol. BS15 8DU
